Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 14, 2026
At FrameCheck, we build collaborative video review software with a focus on data ownership and local-first performance. This Privacy Policy describes how we handle information in connection with your use of our platform.
1. Data Sovereignty & Local-First Processing
Unlike traditional cloud video review platforms, FrameCheck processes raw video files locally inside your browser using HTML5 and client-side canvas render loops.
- Local Video Imports: When you drag, drop, or link a local video file to review, the raw binary file remains on your hard drive. It is never uploaded to our servers.
- Comments & Annotations: Feedback entries, timestamp markers, and drawing layers are saved locally in your browser's index DB/local storage by default.
2. Shared review workspaces
If you choose to use our shared workspace features to collaborate with client teams:
- Text comments, timestamps, and drawing vectors are synchronized via our secure backend APIs to allow other invited reviewers to see them.
- Attached frame screenshots are converted to static image segments and securely stored in our cloud buckets solely to display next to the review comment logs.
3. Analytics & Service Providers
We run minimal, anonymous analytics scripts to inspect platform performance, server latency, and diagnostic errors. We do not sell, lease, or track your personal workspace data to advertising networks.
4. Your Rights
You retain full rights to delete your local storage cache at any time, which completely removes all local drafts. If you wish to delete comments or review history synchronized to a shared project link, you can delete the project workspace directly from your owner dashboard.
